ignition Grants

To catalyze change across the field we support creativity and out-of-the box thinking through micro-grants to Jewish Day Schools across North America. We offer Ignition Grants up to $15,000 to jump-start new and/or to continue recently-established innovative programs that improve Jewish education in day schools.

Programs eligible for funding must be generated from within a school community and its own educators; applications for programs that will be provided to a school by outside educational organizations are not eligible.

Proposals for Ignition Grants are accepted at any time during the year. JEIC staff will contact applicants to acknowledge receipt and will inform them of the status and outcome of their application within six months of receipt. Grant decisions typically will be made in July and January.

Jewish day school educators wishing to apply for an Ignition Grant, should complete the following form:

• Describe the idea and provide context. • Explain what is revolutionary about your idea. • Explain the intended outcome for the students. • Explain how the idea is consummate with our description of our intention and goals. • Include a budget with brief narrative.
