The 2018 Innovators Retreat, Connecting the Dots, took place in National Harbor, MD on April 25-26, 2018 Nearly 100 educators, funders, consumers and other stakeholders from all over the country joined together to reimagine Jewish education in Jewish Day Schools.

Exploring New Approaches in Jewish Education

Open to any Jewish middle or high school, JEIC funds projects to demonstrate revolutionary, practical educational models that are sustainable, accountable and scalable. The goal of the Challenge is to make Jewish learning accessible to all students, and to improve the way Jewish values, literacy, practice and belief are transferred to the next generation.

Innovators Retreat


Seeking and Rewarding Talented Innovators

For the final round of the challenge, JEIC brings all of the finalists together in one room. At the innovators’ retreat, finalists will have the opportunity to meet the most forward-thinking leaders in Jewish education and speak with the Challenge’s judges and its funders. At the conclusion of the retreat, JEIC announces which of the finalists will receive a grant of up to $50,000 to make their proposal a reality.
