Don’t miss the Fall 2019 issue of HaYidion: The Prizmah Journal, which features a compelling article written by JEIC Managing Director Sharon Freundel called “Listening to Day School Dreams.” This piece highlights what we learned from Jewish day school stakeholders about their dreams, visions, and wishes through our Listening Booths Initiative at PrizmahCJDS’s bi-annual conference in March 2019.

The article is based on our latest report, “What We Heard in the Listening Booths.” This report articulates goals, tools, obstacles, and outcomes for Jewish day schools as shared by diverse stakeholders in the field, who participated in a confidential 20-minute interview at the conference.

The analysis of the data heard in the Listening Booths, conducted by The Greenberg Team, surfaced valuable insight into ways individual day schools or the field at-large can catalyze radical change in Jewish education.

Eight major themes emerged in this research. Additional compelling ideas to radically improve Jewish day schools that were shared in the Listening Booths will be highlighted in a special series on the Prizmah blog.
