JEIC Announces New Platform to Support Jewish Educators at Every Career Stage

At the 2026 Innovators Retreat, JEIC marked two meaningful milestones — reflecting on the impact of outgoing Managing Director Sharon Freundel, and looking ahead to JEIC's next chapter.

As JEIC enters a new phase of our work, its purpose remains the same — to make Jewish day school education inspiring, meaningful, and powerful. What is changing is how we plan to pursue that mission.

After more than a decade in this field, one thing has become unmistakably clear: what makes Jewish education extraordinary is the educator.

JEIC's next chapter centers on creating a central hub for Jewish educators at every career stage—powered by a new tech-enabled platform. This online home will support educators from pipeline and field entry all the way through career-long high-quality professional development, growth, and connection.

To bring this vision to life, JEIC has convened a strategic working group of field leaders including Jeremy Snepar, CEO and Co-founder, Mason Street Training; Rabbi Yehuda Chanales, Director, Lifnai Vlifnim and RIETS Professional Education; Laura Goldman, Founder, Arise Leadership Coaching & Training; Ayelet Lichtash, Founder & Executive Director, Alef Bet Montessori School; Rabbi Shmuel Feld, Founding Director, JEIC; Ruchel Green, Media Center Director, Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy; Todd Sukol, Executive Director, Mayberg Foundation; and Manette Mayberg, President and Trustee, Mayberg Foundation.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that Ruchel Green will join JEIC on July 1 as Managing Director.

We look forward to sharing more exciting updates about this new initiative with you as it takes shape.
