JEIC Announces New Phase: Launching A Central Address for Jewish Educators

JEIC is entering a transformative new phase, building on more than a decade of work to elevate Jewish day school education while staying true to our core mission: making Jewish education inspiring, meaningful, and powerful.

The Educator at the Center

What makes Jewish education extraordinary is the educator. Across North America, new energy is building in the Jewish communal field—a growing recognition of day schools' role in a robust Jewish future, backed by serious investment from leaders at JFNA, JFN, and beyond. This moment demands infrastructure at scale to build a robust pipeline of exceptional educators—the kind of infrastructure that will shape the field quantitatively and qualitatively for years to come.

Introducing…JEIC’s Central Address for Educators

JEIC's next chapter centers on creating a central address for Jewish educators at every career stage—powered by a new tech platform. This professional online home will:

  • Attract new talent to the field

  • Connect aspiring educators to clear preparation pathways

  • Provide practical support for success and retention

  • Foster personal, professional, and spiritual growth over a lifetime career

Built with funding partners and field leaders like Prizmah, this platform makes Jewish education a visible, viable, valuable career path—one built for personal and professional growth.

Strategic Working Group

To bring this vision to life, JEIC has convened an expert working group:

  • Jeremy Snepar, CEO and Co-founder, Mason Street Training

  • Rabbi Yehuda Chanales, Director, Lifnai Vlifnim and RIETS Professional Education

  • Laura Goldman, Founder, Arise Leadership Coaching & Training

  • Ayelet "Ellie" Lichtash, Founder & Executive Director, Alef Bet Montessori School

  • Rabbi Shmuel Feld, Founding Director, JEIC

  • Todd Sukol, Executive Director, Mayberg Foundation

  • Mrs. Manette Mayberg, Mayberg Foundation Trustee and President and JEIC Founder

Welcoming Our New Managing Director

Leading this effort is Mrs. Ruchel Green, a longtime JEIC family member, former Hakaveret participant, and educator dynamo. Ruchel is coordinating the working group and will join JEIC full-time as Managing Director on July 1.

The need is great, the moment is ripe, and the vision is clear. We're excited to build this together and invite your ideas as this central address takes shape.
